How to Make Your Gingerbread Man Puppet.

Materials Needed 

  • White Cardstock paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue stick or Glue gun
  • Templates
  • Crayons or Markers (If using the black and white template).

Instruction

To bring your gingerbread man puppet to life, follow these step-by-step instructions:

Gather Your Materials: Before you begin, make sure you have all the necessary materials at hand.

You’ll need White cardstock paper or cardboard, scissors, glue and markers or crayons for decorating.

Print the template: Print the template on white cardstock paper.

Make sure it is thick so the finished puppets hold shape. 120gsm – 200gsm paper thickness is recommended.

If you are going to use the black and white template, have the kids colour first.

Cut Out the Gingerbread Man Shape: Start by cutting the outline of a gingerbread man from the printed templates.

Also cut out the straps to be used to hold the puppets.

Fold the gingerbread man along the along the lines at the top, middle and bottom.

Attach the Straps To Your Gingerbread Man

Using glue or preferably glue guns, attach the straps to the back of the puppet.

Test Your Puppet: Give your gingerbread man puppet a test run!

Hold onto the straps and move them up and down to make your puppet open it’s mouth and move.
